Tami L. Paxton, LCSW

Certified Clinical Trauma Professional

Tami Paxton received her BS in Social Work from Weber State University and her Master's of Social Work from the University of Denver.  Tami is a UT state-licensed clinical social worker and an internationally recognized clinical trauma professional.  She is also a recognized therapist with The Utah Network of Juveniles Offending Sexually (NOJOS). Tami is the clinical director at QYS Clinical Services and works with the proctor/foster youth and families.  Tami has worked in the field of mental health for over 15 years, and has received recognition of a successful track record.  To view more information you can visit her Psychology Today listing.

Ciara Connors, CSW

Master of Science, Social Work

Ciara received her Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology and her Master’s in Social Work from Utah State University.  Ciara has been working with Quality Youth Services since 2013 when she started her therapist practicum.  Ciara is licensed as a Certified Social Worker in Utah and specializes working with adolescents and young adults.  Over the past four years, Ciara has worked on addressing mental health concerns in the school, office and home settings.  Ciara has a passion for helping clients develop healthy communication techniques, understand and address feelings and strengthen skills to improve their daily living. 

Joseph Salazar, CMHC

Masters of Science, Clinical Mental Health Counseling


Joseph received his  Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoneix.  Joseph has been with QYS since 2007 when he began his internship.  Joseph's primary area of expertise is with dual diagnosis population addiction and mental health.  Joseph works well with oppositional youth and family discord. Joseph has worked in residential treatment settings and current works in the community on a project to effect multi generational poverty.  He is avaliable for evening sessions throughout the week.

Erin Shepard, LCSW

Master of Science, Social Work


Erin Shepard received her BS degree in Social Work from Weber State University, and her Master's in Social Work from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.  Erin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Utah. She specializes in working with children and families. For the past 5 years, Erin primarily worked with at-risk youth through state programs dealing with dual-diagnoses, substance abuse, and defiant behaviors.  Erin is comfortable using a wide range of therapies to assist individuals in the change process, increase coping skills to maintain healthy balance in relationships and improve daily functioning. 

Regina Dickinson, MSW Intern

NOJOS Certified

Regina received her bachelor’s degree from Utah State University with an emphasis in psychology and sociology.  She is currently enrolled in the masters of social work program at Utah State University.  Regina has over 14 years experience working with youth.  Her study emphasis includes: childhood trauma, child and family therapy, effective communication techniques, and substance abuse treatment.

Rebecca Miller, CSW

Master of Science, Social Work

NOJOS Certified 


Rebecca graduated with her B.S. in Sociology from Ashford University and her masters of social work from Utah State University.  She has worked as a research assistant and with at risk youth in elementry and high school settings.  Rebecca works in the Harrisville and Pleasant Grove offices.

Alicia Hull, CSW

Master of Science, Social Work 


Alicia completed her undergraduate degree in Criminology and American Studies from the University of Essex.  Alicia graduate with her masters of social work from Hawaii Pacific University in 2016. She has worked in a variety of settings including the Hawaii State Department of Education, Kaiser Permanente and the Adult Friends For Youth where she worked specifically with very high risk youth. 



Angela Balken, CSW

Master of Science, Social Work


Angela graduated from Utah State University with her undergraduate social work degree, she continued her education and complete her masters of social work degree from the University of Utah in 2003.   She is certified as a domestic violence counselor.  Angela has worked in a variety of settings to include community mental health, Salt Lake City School District and court ordered substance abuse services in Weber and Davis Counties. Angela works in our Harrisville office.  


Randy Powell, LCSW

Master of Science, Social Work


Randy received his degree from Brigham Young University in 1990.  Randy retired from his work with adult corrections clients, he has served as the clinical director of a group care youth facility additionally he owns and operates Court Supportive Services in Utah County.  Randy works in our Logan office.
